Skiing

I recently just went skiing in New Mexico. This wasn't the first time I've gone skiing, but it is the first time that I actually knew what I was doing. I took a couple lessons, and also watched how my friends skied.

Overall I had a lot of fun and would go again, despite the fact that I dislocated my shoulder. My fall resulting in the injury wasn't even very serious, but I must've hit the ground at just the right angle to pop out my shoulder. This isn't the first time I've dislocated my shoulder, which is probably why it happened again. (After the first dislocation, subsequent ones happen more easily because the ligaments/tendons are stretched).

If you've never skied, it's something you should definitely try. I think it's probably one of the more/most fun things you can do once you know what you're doing. The cost to go skiing is expensive though. Lift tickets + equipment rental is around $75+ a day. If you happen to live near a ski resort, it'll be even cheaper since you don't have to pay for airfare and hotel, which could run you another $400+ for the whole trip. (My friends and I actually drove (instead of flying) and I didn't have to pay for hotel, since my friend owned a vacation home near the ski resort).
